About The Artist

Originating from California's East Bay Area, AG Club produce an eclectic blend of influences from indie rock and pop to R&B and Memphis rap, with ambitions to branch out into other forms of media such as film and television. The group's releases, such as 2020's Halfway Off the Porch, contain atmospheric confessionals as well as swaggering anthems. The group first formed in Brentwood, California in 2017, recording songs in a garage. Inspired by alternative rap collectives from the 2010s such as Odd Future and A$AP Mob, the artists came together with the interest of making music that differed from the typical Bay Area hip-hop sound. The AG Club began receiving widespread attention after the nine-song EP Halfway Off the Porch appeared in early 2020. NLE Choppa and A$AP Ferg contributed verses to a remix of the EP's breakthrough track, "Memphis." After the group relocated to Los Angeles, they released the track "Columbia" in advance of their second major project, FYE (Fuck Your Expectations).
