About The Artist
A country singer and songwriter who merges a modern pop sensibility with a down-home feel, Dylan Schneider wasn't even old enough to vote when he first began making a name for himself in the music industry. Schneider was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 8, 1999. As a youngster, he was a fan of pop and hip-hop music, but when he was 13 years old he began listening to country music. Attracted to the storytelling of country tunes, Schneider found that the songs were well-suited to his voice, and he took up singing when he was 14. He became an especially big fan of country star Brett Eldredge, and met him at a special concert in Paris, Illinois, Eldredge's hometown. The two corresponded, and when Schneider was 15, Eldredge invited him on-stage to share a song at an appearance in Terre Haute. Before long, Schneider was playing frequently in and around Indiana, and occasionally headed to Nashville, Tennessee for songwriting and recording sessions. In August 2016, Schneider unveiled his first EP, Wannabe, a five-song release that included the single "You Heard Wrong," which earned plenty of streaming play online. A second EP, 17, was fittingly released on Schneider's 17th birthday, and featured six new songs, including "Want You Back." In November 2016, he issued a Christmas-themed single for the holiday season, "Mistletoe." Continuing his prolific run, he returned in June 2017 with the EP Spotlight's on You. Schneider signed with Interscope in 2019, releasing the EP Whole Town Talk in August. In its support, he appeared on Florida Georgia Line's Can't Say I Ain't Country tour.
