"EarthGang, composed of Olu (aka Johnny Venus) and WowGr8 (aka Doctur Dot), is a hip-hop duo from Atlanta, Georgia. They're known for their eclectic, energetic sound and dynamic performances. Both hailing from the west side of Atlanta, they met in high school and formed EarthGang in 2008 while they were still students at Hampton University. Influenced by a diverse range of sounds including funk, soul, and trap music - the pair have been making waves with their unique style. They've released several EPs independently before signing to J. Cole's Dreamville Records in 2017. Their first major-label album "Mirrorland" was released in 2019 to critical acclaim. The duo is noted for their creative concepts both musically and visually as seen through their videos which blend animated elements with performance footage."
