"Jay Pharoah is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and impressionist. Born in Chesapeake, Virginia, he began doing impersonations at the young age of six and later started performing in local clubs when he was 15. He honed his skills at a number of comedy venues throughout the country before joining Saturday Night Live (SNL) as a cast member in 2010. During his six seasons on SNL, Jay became best known for his wide array of uncanny celebrity impressions that include former President Barack Obama, Jay Z, Denzel Washington, Kanye West and many others. Following SNL, he went on to star in Showtime's "White Famous" based on Jamie Foxx’s experiences. In addition to acting and stand-up performances worldwide Jay hosts the “Impressions” podcast available on iTunes."
