"mxmtoon, whose real name is Maia, is a US-American singer-songwriter and social media personality. She was born in Oakland, California on July 9, 2000. From a young age, she developed an interest in music and began teaching herself various instruments including the ukulele and guitar. In her late teens, Maia started sharing her music online under the moniker mxmtoon. Her songs are often introspective and relatable with influences from folk-pop to bedroom pop. She gained prominence with her self-released debut EP 'Plum Blossom' (2018). Since then she has released two albums: 'the masquerade' (2019) and 'dawn & dusk' (2020)."
