"Paul Kalkbrenner is a German electronic musician and actor, who has gained fame through his techno music and his leading role in the 2008 film "Berlin Calling", in which he played a DJ. He was born on June 11, 1977 in Leipzig but grew up in East Berlin. Unlike many artists who came from the club scene and went into the music business, Paul came straight from the record company sector. In December 2016 Paul Kalkbrenner returned to the stage with a new concept “Back To The Future”. The idea for these shows can be traced back to Paul’s early steps as a musician, when he would use two cassette decks to mix tapes recorded from radio broadcasts together. With this new project he wants to pay tribute those radio recordings that shaped him as an artist."
