Rexx Life Raj is an up and coming hip hop artist from Berkeley, CA. His music is a mix of hip hop, R&B and neo-soul with jazz-inspired instrumentals and introspective, socially-conscious lyrics. Rexx grew up in a musical family, learning to play multiple instruments at a young age. He attended UCLA where he studied ethnomusicology and performed with the UCLA Jazz Reggae Ensemble. After college, Rexx began to focus seriously on his own music, releasing his debut album “Father Figure” in 2016 and his follow up EP “California Poppy” in 2018. His music has been featured on radio stations like KCRW and KQED as well as in major media outlets like The FADER, Okayplayer and more. Rexx is known for his energetic and engaging live shows, performing at major festivals like Outside Lands, Treasure Island Music Festival and Lightning in a Bottle.
